-
Rates and Requirements:
Guest Spot Rate:
Sliding daily scale of $75-$100. Send what you can within this range (you pay AFTER you have tattooed, so Venmo would be sent on the last day of your guest spot).
General Requirements:
Please have an up-to-date Blood Borne Pathogen training certification.
You are responsible for booking your own appointments.
All clients must bring a valid, unexpired ID (tribal ID, drivers license, passport, or military ID) and fill out paperwork which will remain at the shop.
Everyone must wear a KN95 or better quality mask while in the shop at all times. We have KN95 masks to supply artists and clients with. We ask artists and clients to consume snacks and drinks in the hallway or break room so that masks can stay on at all times in the shop.
We ask that no guests be allowed in the shop and that all clients arrive alone, unless folks are in need of an aid for their disability (service animals and service persons are welcome, but a heads-up is appreciated).
You will be responsible for filling out your own paperwork after each tattoo day and placing it in the designated area.
We ask that you respect the space, co-workers, and your clients. Please be mindful of your conversations during tattoo sessions, as well as who you bring into the space. We all practice Trauma Informed tattooing and we want to ensure all artists and clients feel conformable while in the shop.

If you need any supplies just ask in advance and we can most likely accommodate; we usually have extra gloves, and ink caps.
Scheduling:
All artists share stations and rotate depending on scheduling and availability. We will try to accommodate your ideal schedule as best as we can, but we will need to go over schedule options with the other artists and figure out what stations are available on specific days and times; then you can make your own schedule and work your own ideal hours within the time available.
We ask that guest artists either come a day earlier or an hour or 2 early on the first day to to tour the space and to go over the building door code, guidelines, building elevator, storage, paperwork, stencil machine, shared item locations, etc.
Access and Privacy:
The studio is located on the 2nd floor of the building. The building can be entered through the front door (which has one step up to the door and two flights of stairs inside the door and straight ahead), or the side door (which has a ramp up to the double doors and a freight elevator inside the doors and to the left. The elevator is not automatic and requires physically raising and lowering two ~10lb gates and holding a switch up or down to operate the car. Alternatively, there are two flights of stairs inside the doors and to the right).
The floor plan of the studio is one large 4-walled room with 4 stations spread out. Privacy curtains and barriers are available.
There are three bathrooms across the hall that are shared with the other folks who work in the building, as well as two bathrooms on the 1st floor across from the elevator, and two more in the basement level. All bathrooms are single rooms with railings and wide doorways.
There is both heating and air conditioning throughout the entire building. The thermostat that controls our studio’s temperature is located in the studio next door and is not controlled by us, but we maintain open communication with these folks to create a comfortable atmosphere for both studios.
COVID Boundaries and Mitigation Practices:
KN95 masks or N95 respirators are required in the studio at all times. KN95 masks are supplied for free at the door to the shop, on a small table in the hallway if artists or clients are in need.
COVID Mitigation Transparency:
Some artists require their clients to take a rapid Covid test before their appointment, though, this is not a practice shared by or required of all artists. Similarly, artists are encouraged to inquire about their client’s COVID vaccination status and flu shot, though, we are not all requiring proof of vaccines at this time.
There is one HEPA air purifier in the space, as well as several cordless, personal-sized air purifiers for anyone who may want one at their station.
There are skylights that provide natural light but no windows that open. There is an oscillating floor fan available for use in the space.
We ask that artists are transparent about their travels and risk levels and that they quarantine after travel, before returning to the shop, if they are around large crowds without masking. This is on a case-by-case basis and usually requires just a few days and a negative rapid Covid test to return to the shop.
If you have been exposed to Covid, test positive for Covid, or are feeling sick; please notify all the artists at the shop, immediately cancel appointments, and quarantine until you have no symptoms and have tested negative consistently. Please check back in with all of the artists and confirm that everyone is comfortable with you returning, depending on how many days it has been since you were sick.
Resident artists and their clients vary in terms of how often and where they mask in their personal lives. However, the shop has been firmly committed to requiring high quality masks to be worn in the studio (regardless of clients being present in the shop) and communicating openly about high-risk activities, illness, and exposures as we move through this pandemic together. We want to keep our immunocompromised artists and clients as safe as we can.
